Vision Installation Engineer - C018

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vision System Installation Engineer to install, configure, and optimize industrial vision systems for manufacturing and automation applications. The engineer will be responsible for on-site installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and integration of machine vision technologies, ensuring seamless operation and high performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and integrate vision systems, cameras, lighting, and related hardware at customer sites.

  • Program and fine-tune vision inspection algorithms for quality control and process automation.

  • Work with PLCs, robotics, and industrial automation systems to ensure proper communication with vision equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network configurations.

  • Perform system calibration, testing, and validation to meet project specifications and customer requirements.

  • Provide on-site training and technical support to operators and maintenance personnel.

  • Document installation processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and efficiency.

  • Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards during installation and operation.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • 3 + years of Experience in installing and configuring vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Basler, Omron, or similar).

  • Strong knowledge of image processing, optics, and lighting for industrial vision applications.

  • Proficiency in programming vision systems using software such as Cognex In-Sight, Halcon, OpenCV, etc.

  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, etc.).

  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and automation equipment is a plus.

  • Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to travel to customer locations for on-site installations and support.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AI-based vision inspection systems.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or MATLAB for image processing.

  • Previous experience in automotive, electronics, or pharmaceutical industries.
